Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge + Receive Android 7.0 Nougat from Verizon

We have some great news for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge + owners who are using Verizon as their network carrier, Android 7.0 Nougat is coming their way. This information was first leaked by a tipster, but now Verizon has finally decided to confirm that it has already started pushing Android 7.0 Nougat to the aforementioned Samsung devices. However, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone since AT&T and Sprint have already managed to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat.

The operating system update is completely going to change how Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge + function. The two devices will now be equipped with a much cleaner user interface, innovative features and a bunch of other performances enhancement tweaks. In addition, Android 7.0 Nougat also brings Google’s highly important monthly security patches with it.

The update is being rolled out over the air and it should pop up any time now. We should also mention that Android 7.0 Nougat is going to arrive under the “NRD90M.N920VVRU3CQB0” build number to Galaxy Note 5 and under “NRD90M.G928VVRU3CQB9” to Galaxy S6 Edge +.

Owners of the smartphones who are set to receive Android 7.0 Nougat should be happy to know that the update contains a new battery management page which will increase the amount of charge their smartphone is able to hold. Multi tasking is going to be enhanced with the addition of the multi-window mode which will allow users to run two apps at the same time. Also, the camera app is going to receive some extra effects in the preview screen.

In addition, the keyboard has been updated with language predictions which will make text-messaging so much more fun. However, the biggest change that Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge + owners will be able to see is in the notifications panel.

We should mention that Galaxy Note 5 will receive some special features which will increase S Pen’s performance. Users will be able to create GIFs, send message with AIR command and edit PDFs only through the use of Galaxy Note 5’s S Pen.
