Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Have Been Released In India

The latest Galaxy smartphones have reached India within a month after Samsung has unveiled them during the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona.

This was also confirmed by Samsung via its official Samsung Mobile India Twitter account, where the manufacturer has revealed the prices of these two devices. According to the tweet, the Galaxy S7 (32GB variant) is sold for INR 48,900, which is around 727 dollars, while the Galaxy S7 Edge (32GB variant) costs INR 48,900 which is about 846 dollars.

The new Galaxy smartphones are powered with LTE Cat 6 connectivity, which allows you to get the best network performance, especially where there is low coverage.

The Galaxy S7 comes with a 5.1-inch and it is powered by a non-removable battery, while the Galaxy S7 Edge has a bigger display size of 5.5-inch and it is packed with a 3600 mAh battery. Both devices feature a quad HD super AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge come in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but it is good to know that Samsung has decided to bring back the microSD card slot, which allows you to expand the storage capacity up to 200GB. We remind you that this slot was missing on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices, which disappointed many Galaxy fans.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge sport a primary camera of 12MP (located on the rear side of the handsets) and a secondary camera of 5MP which can be used for taking selfies or making video calls and it’s found on the front side of the smartphones. The flagships are backed by 4GB of RAM, which should be enough for multi-tasking and gaming, and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

If you want to purchase any of these two devices, you should know that they come in Silver Titanium, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum color. In addition, the users who pre-order the device before March 17, 2016 will get a free VR headset.

The smartphones will finally go on sale in India on March 18, 2016.
