Protect Your iOS Devices With These Steps
There are so many cases nowadays involving stolen phones. iPhone for example, is one of the most wanted devices due to their worth as compared with any other devices. As such, you should take extra precaution to make sure that you protect your privacy and your data in your iPhone. Here are some ways on how you can do that.
Setting up a Passcode
While this is actually a no-brainer, not many people are doing it. They prefer to leave the phone vulnerable instead of setting up an easy to remember passcode. A passcode is actually your first line of defense and as such, you should definitely set it up. In fact, putting passcode is so secure that governments agencies cannot even hack pass it. Instead, they rely on Apple to extract the data from the locked phone.
Delete data on incorrect passcode
If you think that your data is so valuable, you might just want to enable the setting that deletes all of your data when your passcode is entered incorrectly 10 times. This can be an extreme measure but if it needs to be that way, then you should probably do that. However, just make sure that your friends don’t try and play around with your passcode too much or you may lose your data for the wrong reasons.
Find My iPhone
Another great application that you can use is Find My iPhone. It is a handy feature that is already part of Apple’s iCloud. However, you first need to set up your iCloud account to get this going. Besides that, you will also need to enable Find My iPhone on your device. From here, you will be able to delete all of your data remotely, set a passcode lock, play a sound as well as display a message at the screen.
