Nexus 6P vs OnePlus 3 Who Takes The Win?

The best Google had to offer until Pixel XL was launched used to be Nexus 6P. The smartphone has been designed in partnership with Huawei and its one of the most popular smartphones. Even though Nexus 6P has been launched back in 2015 it still competing against smartphones that have been launched in 2016. Without any doubt, Nexus 6P’s biggest competitor is OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 3 was also produced by a Chinese tech manufacturer just like Pixel. The smartphone has been equipped with only high-end hardware pieces and it even managed to get the nickname “flagship killer”. Today we’re going to pin the two smartphones against each other and see which one wins in terms of display technology and hardware power.

Nexus 6P vs OnePlus 3: Display

Huawei has equipped the smartphone with a large 5.7 inch AMOLED panel. The display features a pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a large pixel density of 518 ppi. Additionally, Huawei has also coated the panel in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 therefore increasing the device’s scratch and crack resistance.

On the other hand, OnePlus 3 ships with a slightly smaller 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED panel. The display features a full HD pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a rather small pixel density of 401 ppi. Just like Nexus 6P, OnePlus 3’s display has been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and features the same shock resistance.

Nexus 6P is fueled by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset. The processor has been coupled with an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM. On another note, OnePlus 3 is powered by more powerful Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset. Additionally, the processor has been paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and the whopping amount of 6GB of RAM.

Nexus 6P vs OnePlus 3: Conclusion

Nexus 6P takes the win in the display department, but OnePlus 3 wins the hardware performances fight. Even though having a high resolution display is nice, hardware performance is way more important. This is why we have to give it to OnePlus 3. Nonetheless, Nexus 6P is more than capable of providing users with stable hardware performances.
