LG Optimus G officially launched in India, priced at Rs. 34,500

LG finally launched its most awaited LG Optimus G at Rs. 34,500 in India and is up for grabs starting today. The Optimus G is the new flagship device by LG and is expected to compete with the high-end smartphones in the market.

The new Optimus G comes with a 4.7-inch True HD display topped with IPS+ technology and Gorilla Glass 2 protection which is the finest as per industry standards. What it might be lacking is the LED technology which might help save some juice from its 2,100 mAh battery. Although the memory card slot is absent, 32GB of internal memory and 2 GB RAM is quite justifiable when it comes to a smartphone which would let the applications run quite smoothly. This flagship device is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and backed up with Adreno 320 graphics which makes the device lag-free.

Coming to other features of the smartphone, it has a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera which perform quite well as compared to other devices in the market. It has a QSlide function which allows you to multitask without making your window smaller which is quite smart to out-beat its rivals. It has all the other connectivity features that a high-end smartphone should ideally have like Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE capability. LG also promises to have a 15-hour talktime on this phone which can be only tested when the device is reviewed.

On the occasion of the launch, Mr. Soon Kwon, President South West Asia Region & MD, LG India, said, “Drawing upon expertise from the LG Mobile Communications Company and gaining insights from the LG R&D team, we are proud to bring to our consumers LG Optimus G, a carefully styled super-phone. LG has kick-started 2013 by launching the first smartphone to run on Snapdragon S4 Pro. LG Optimus G meets the growing consumer demand by offering ample features like 13MP rear camera; 32 GB internal memory, Dual Screen / Dual Play, QSlide, Quick Translator, NFC. The smartphone encourages users to explore a world of boundless creativity and power and also, helps them balance between business and entertainment.

The device will come pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If you wish to buy a high-end smartphone, LG Optimus G is one of the devices you should have an eye on. Stay tuned for a detailed review of this device coming up pretty soon.
