If you are a cricket lover and an Android aficionado, then this piece of news will surely bring a smile to your face and get you excited. LG has announced that they will be releasing a limited edition of their Android flagship phone, the Optimus One, keeping in mood of the current hottest sporting event, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

As you can clearly see, the limited edition phone will celebrate the cricket world cup with the gold engraving of the world cup logo entrenched on the flip side of the phone. Cricket lovers will be mighty pleased with this move from LG, but will have to snap up a piece ASAP if they want one, since the phone is limited to a 1000 pieces.

As far as the specs are concerned, there is nothing different here from the standard Optimus One models. The handset is powered by Android 2.2 aka Froyo, a 600 MHz chip, a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 LCD capacitive touchscreen, a 3 mega pixel camera and the usual wireless package (802.11b/g WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and FM radio).

The device is priced at a competitive Rs. 12,990, and will be available at various leading stores across 8 major cities. So what do the cricket lovers of the nation think of this sweet offering from LG?
