iPhone 7 Confirming Dual-lens Camera Setup – Specs, Features and Prices
In two days, Apple will hold a special event, but don’t get your hopes up too high, because the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus won’t be unveiled now. It’s too early for such a big announcement and the fans who can’t wait to renew their iPhone 6S or 6S Plus flagships will need to wait until September, when the successors will be officially released.
Until then, we’ll keep hearing rumors about their specs and features or see leaked images. Recently, a photo of the iPhone 7 has surfaced on the internet and it shows that the upcoming device will have a dual-lens setup. Here are the rest of details that you need to know about Apple’s next flagship.
Most likely, the iPhone 7 and its phablet version will be released on either September 6 or September 13, on a Tuesday, but only if Apple’s suppliers will be able to meet demand for the upcoming phone, because the factories were affected by an earthquake in Taiwan and caused the interruption of the production of the processor.
However, when it will be released in the UK, the iPhone 7 will cost £539/16GB, £619/64GB and £699/128GB, but the rumors say that Apple will bring a 256GB version which could cost up to £800.
As for the design, while the “S” models were identical to their predecessors, the iPhone 7 is rumored to have a ceramic back just like the One Plus X, although Business Korea has no evidence to support its claims. We believe that the phone will still have an aluminum body, but an inside source said that Apple will remove the antenna stripes from the back, but it will keep the Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold variants of colors.
Recently, there were a few images of the iPhone that circulated over the internet, but it’s not sure if they’re genuine or fan-made, and we’ve noticed that the antenna lines have been moved to the edges and the camera setup has suffered a big change. The chassis bulges out around the camera, most likely to protect the protruding lens and to make the bump look more appealing.
Another change we’re seen in the leaked images is the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack, which could be replaced with a slot for a second speaker. If this is true, then many fans will be disappointed, because they will need to buy an adapter for their old headphones.
According to another rumor, the iPhone 7 will be waterproof, but the pair of cameras will stick to the new resolutions of 12MP and 5MP. The screen will have the same size of 4.7-inch and the phablet will measure 5.5-inch, as well, but Apple could use an OLED display, after being in talks with Samsung and LG.
The new processor will be an Apple A10, which will be paired with an M10 motion co-processor and 2GB of RAM or more.
