Intex launches its first Android based tablet in India
A new Android based tablet has been announced for the Indian market and this device comes from Intex Technologies. It is the first tablet from the company which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is called the Intex i-Tab, does not sound very original right?
Moving on the Intex i-Tab will sport an 8-inch capacitive display and will be powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor. It will come with 8GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card and the device includes a 5000 mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 5-6 hours of battery life. Other specifications include a USB port, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity.
The company has mentioned in the press release that the tablet will come pre-loaded with Word, Excel and PowerPoint viewing applications and will also have other applications including, Talking Tom, Solitaire, Angry Birds and others.
The Intex i-Tab is priced at 11,900 INR and as an introductory offer it will come with an Intex 3G data card, leather cover, LAN adapter and Reebok sunglasses. Intex has also mentioned that the company will soon expand its portfolio by launching a 7-inch and a 10-inch tablet device.
