Google Will Not Revitalize Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P

The latest rumors in the tech world are pointing out the fact that Google is looking to revitalize the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P lineup. The reason behind this is that the Pixel brand name isn’t as recognizable outside of the US as the Nexus one. Sadly, this will more than likely not happen. Google is actually expected to refresh its Pixel lineup with the highly anticipated Pixel 2.

Google Chooses Pixel 2 Over Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P Revitalization

The Android parent has yet to announce that it’s developing its next flagship smartphone, but we can be sure that it’s coming. This shouldn’t surprise anyone since both Pixel and Pixel XL have been really successful. Reports are showing that Google is even having problems with keeping up with the demand. All major retailers keep on ordering new Pixel smartphones and Google is always looking for different factories who can mass produce them. Also, we think it’s safe to say that all Android fans are eager to get their hands on a new Google smartphone.

Google Pixel 2 Rumors and Speculations

Even though Google declines to answer any question related to Pixel 2, the entire internet is buzzing with rumors and speculations about the device. The most intriguing rumor is pointing out that Pixel 2 will be bundled with a wireless charging pad. Worth mentioning is that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 flagship smartphone is also rumored to feature a wireless charging pad.

Additionally, Pixel 2 will surely ship with expandable storage, water and dust resistance and an even bigger battery. Even though both Pixel smartphone feature a sleek design, Google is expected to implement a smoother looking edge to edge panel. Especially since both Samsung and Apple will equip their flagship smartphones with edge to edge displays.

Nonetheless, we can be sure that once Pixel 2 is launched the market will be taken by storm. Google will definitely not feel the need to revamp Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The only thing Google needs to work on is global recognition. Fortunately, this can be easily achieved with a good marketing campaign. Everybody knows that Google has more than enough budget in order to put in motion a worldwide successful marketing campaign.
