Gionee Elife S5.5 is the world’s slimmest Android smartphone, launched in India for Rs 22,999
Gionee has launched the world’s slimmest Android based smartphone in the Indian market, this device is called the Gionee Elife S5.5 and it has been officially priced at Rs 22,999. It size is not its only amazing feature as the device also boasts some awesome hardware and it will go on sale starting April 27.
The Gionee Elife S5.5 smartphone features a 5-inch 1080p full HD resolution display which sports a 441ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage capacity.
The smartphone further includes a 13 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front-facing 5 megapixel camera, both come with a bunch of editing features. In terms of the battery it comes equipped with a 2,300 mAh battery which the company claims to last for over a day after a full charge.
It will come pre-loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is a little disappointing as most of the latest smartphone already come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat. The OS will be further skinned with the company’s Amigo user interface.
In terms of the connectivity the smartphone will be equipped with all the essentials including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G support and GPS/A-GPS capabilities.
