HTC unveils Desire 816 and Desire 610 mind-ranged smartphones at MWC 2014
Although it may not be doing in the best in the industry at the moment, HTC had few of its own announcements at MWC 2014. The Taiwan based company launched two of its new min-ranged smartphones during the event.
First up HTC unveiled the Desire 816 which was followed by the Desire 610 which would be a slightly more affordable than the former. These devices are expected to arrive in markets sometime in March.
The HTC Desire 816 comes with a 5.5-inch 720p resolution display and it is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1.5GB of RAM. It will further includes a 2,600mAh battery.
HTC has not revealed the version of Android running on this device, however they did say that it will have the HTC Sense user interface. The Desire 816 will further include a 13 megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 5 megapixel front facing camera and 8GB of built-in storage capacity.
The HTC Desire 610 is the second mid-ranged Android smartphone revealed by the company – it sports a 4.7-inch qHD resolution display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. This smartphone comes with a 2,040mAh battery.
It further includes an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. Just like the former the Desire 610 also includes 8GB of internal storage capacity.
