WebOS Coming to Desktops and Notebooks Probably by the End of 2011

The HP webOS event was quite interesting and the company had a lot of things to show. It was not just the two new phones and a tablet device, HP also announced that the company is bringing webOS to full sized computers. No one could get their hands on this and the details were scarce but the company did give a brief idea of what to expect.

Moreover, the operating system may also be coming to their printers although there is no confirmation about this hints do suggest such an implementation. HP has mentioned that webOS will be available for a wide range of devices. This could make HP a potential competitor to Apple and Microsoft with the own full-fledged desktop operating system.

Currently the OS is not fully capable of being a desktop OS but may be the guys at HP are working on making a desktop compatible variant of the webOS.
