Virgin Mobile has officially announced its new Android offering and this is the LG Optimus V. The device has a 3.2-inch screen and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities along with connectivity features like 3G and WiFi. It is powered by a 600 MHz processor and runs Android 2.2 FroYo.

The device is available contract-free at a RadioShack or Virgin Mobile USA website for $150.

For those who talk a bit more, the $40 plan offers 1,200 minutes of voice and for heavy gabbers, the $60 plan offers unlimited voice minutes each month.
