Samsung Galaxy S7, Nokia Ozo VR, Huawei MateBook and Sony Xperia X Unveiled at MWC 2016

Samsung Galaxy S7

MWC 2016 has kicked off on February 22 and it will end on February 25. Today we’re going to talk about some devices that have been unveiled during this event.

Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices during this event. The devices come with a new rear camera benefiting from a new dual-pixel technology. In addition, the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have received a new add-on feature that will be used by gamers and it’s called “Game Launcher”. This new add-on will allow the users to manage the battery consumption. The new Galaxy S7 series also comes with a fingerprint scanner, Samsung Pay that works with NFC, Barcode technology and Samsung KNOX. These devices are expected to be released sometime in the middle of March 2016.



LG Electronics has unveiled its LG G5 smartphone, which comes with a Snapdragon 820 processor chipset, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. In addition, it comes with a slide-out battery that will power the device and an internal storage of 32GB, which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. The LG G5 comes with a dual-camera setup on the back with a 16MP camera and 8MP wide-angle camera. As for the selfies/videochat camera, its resolution is 8MP and we’re pretty sure that it will do a good job.

The Huawei MateBook is a new tablet that comes with its own stylus called MatePen along with a keyboard cover, which looks very similar to the one found on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 and Apple’s iPad Pro.

The Huawei MateBook is only 6.9mm thick and weights around 640 grams. The design looks very similar to the one of the iPad Pro and it has a 12-inch IPS TFT LCD screen that supports a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 6th generation Intel Core M dual-core processor that’s clocked at 3.1GHz and comes in two RAM variants of 4GB and 8GB LPDDR3. As for the storage capacity, the device will come in three variants of 512GB, 256GB and 128GB (SSD) and it will run on Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro.

Sony Xperia X

Sony has unveiled its Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA smartphones during MWC 2016. The new Xperia X series comes with Sony’ smart battery management and different chipsets, as follows:
– Xperia X: Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650,
– Xperia XA: Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10,
– Xperia X Performance: Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820.

Nokia has brought an interesting device, which is the new Ozo VR camera. Without any doubts, this will be the first cinema grade virtual reality recorder and it will be able to record and store up to 45 minutes of video and audio. However, when it comes to its price, you should know that you will need to pay about 60.000 dollars for this version, while the more professional models will be a lot more expensive.
