Olive Telecom Brings the OlivePad and Other Devices to Nepal

Olive Telecom the company which introduced the first 3.5G tablet in India has now reached Nepal. The company has announced its famous 7-inch OlivePad along with other device including their mobile phones and 3G Zipbooks.

The OlivePad is an Android 2.2 FroYo based tablet which was announced in India last year, the tablet is 3G capable, has WiFi connectivity options and inbuilt GPS which enables the obvious navigation features. A 3 megapixel camera on its back will help you capture some neat images while a front-facing camera enables voice calling capabilities. Olive ships it with a pre-loaded Zenga TV application and a 16 GB memory card for storage.

As mentioned above the company has also introduced its 3G enabled netbook, the Zipbook in the Nepalese markets along with its mobile phones including the OliveTouch, the OliveBuzz which has a full QWERTY keypad, the OliveHarmony and the OliveBigg both of which are dual-SIM phones, the OliveFrvrOn which is India’s first hybrid phone and the OliveWiz which is a triple-SIM QWERTY device.

Indeed good news for the folks in Nepal and just another example of a growing company. It would be priced at 42,000 Nepali Rupees (26,400 INR or 576 USD) and will be distributed by Mally Brothers in Nepal.
