Huawei Ascend W1 coming to O2 UK in March

Huawei had announced a new Windows Phone 8 based smartphone last month which it calls the Ascend W1. This smartphone will be heading to UK mobile carrier O2 as it has now been listed on their website with an expected arrival of March.

The Huawei Ascend W1 runs the new Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system from Microsoft and it is likely to go up against existing mid-ranged Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia and HTC.

Ascend W1 features a 4-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels and it is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz. It also includes the Adreno 305 GPU for graphics performance.

Apart from the aforementioned this Windows smartphone features a 5 megapixel rear camera which supports auto-focus and has a LED flash, apparently it has no front facing camera. The pricing and exact availability of the smartphone is yet unknown. However it will surely land in the UK sometime in March.
