Google Nexus 7 and Pixel 2 Getting Ready to be Launched

It looks like Google is getting ready to make waves in the tech industry this year. Rumor has it that the search browser giant has prepared two brand new devices which are going to be launched during the upcoming months. The devices we are talking about are Nexus 7 and Pixel 2. Even though the tablet market has been declining in terms of demand, Google wants to revamp it with a brand new tablet offering. Taking in consideration the fact that the whole tech community is enthusiastic about a new Nexus 7 offering, Google might just be able to achieve its goal.

Google Nexus 7

Even though Google has yet to officially announce the tablet’s release date, the internet is filled with rumors and speculations about its hardware power. Today we’re going to go everything we know so far and get an idea of what’s to come.

First off, the tablet will ship with Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system straight out of the box. This feature will definitely give Nexus 7 an edge over its competition. Nonetheless, let’s a take a look under its hood and see what’s powering it. Tech experts believe that Nexus 7 will be fueled by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 825 chipset. This quite impressive, especially since the processor will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage space.

Another interesting feature that Nexus 7 is rumored to have is VR support. The most reoccurring speculation is that Nexus 7 will support Google’s Daydream View VR. Although this is highly possible, the tablet is quite large so we don’t know how it will be fitted in a Google cardboard VR headset. There is always the option that it might be bundled with its own larger sized VR headset. We just have to wait and find out.

Google Pixel 2

The last year marks the date when Google decided to venture into the smartphone world by itself. The US based tech giant managed to do that by launching Pixel and Pixel XL. These smartphones are considered as being the most powerful Android powered devices ever made. The only thing that we can be certain regarding Pixel 2 right now is that it will also be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6GB of RAM. Additionally, both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will feature AMOLED display technology.

  1. When ever i read a rumour of a Google Tablet or Phone with expandable storage I stop reading.

Could this be the time I am wrong but Google have never been fans of expandable storage so as the saying goes “I’ll take that rumour with a pinch of salt”

  2. I have a Pixel XL and it is good but NOT the best. The battery life is dead by early evening is really my only complaint. I also have iPhone 7 Plus and that battery leaves me with about 30% remaining at bedtime plus the stereo speakers and water resistant makes it a easily better phone. Actually the Google pixel XL is my second-favorite Android phone after the Huawei mate 9

  3. will b good hardware from google again. i’ve got a nexus 7 (2014) & it has served my interests very well. prices ll b a deciding factor, as will advent of 5G

  4. I love the Pixel and although it’s not perfect, it’s the best phone I’ve ever had. Can’t wait for version 2, but I also downgraded phone sizes from a 6P to the smaller Pixel and I love it. My phone integrates well with my GoPro, phantom 3 and new Theta s.

  5. Just get a good condition or refurbed Nexus 7 2013 for less than $125 and flash it with Lineage 14.1. Works like a charm!

  6. I own a Pixel and unfortunately there is a serious problem with the phone. The Pixel can not be connected by USB to a laptop, car or a photo kiosk. This is a known problem by Google and as of 2/27/2017 there is not a solution. I have spent over two hours on the phone with google only to find out there is not a solution and a promise that the next update will fix the problem. So many publications have praised this phone as the best Android. My advise, buy a Samsung S7.
