Google Adds More File Format Support To Google Docs Viewer

One of the major reasons I always recommend Gmail is because of its Google Docs integration. We all know Google Docs is a great way to exchange and manage various documents online, and using it you can easily view attached documents from Gmail. Well, all of this just got a dose of new features.

Now, Google Docs Viewer can not only help you viewing PDFs, Word files or PowerPoint files but it can also help you with viewing 12 new formats including Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCad, PowerPoint 2010 and a few other files directly from your mail. This is especially awesome news for designers!

The New Formats Include:

  • Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
  • Apple Pages (.PAGES)
  • Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
  • Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
  • Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
  • PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
  • TrueType (.TTF)
  • XML Paper Specification (.XPS)

Once again, this is why you should be using Gmail.
