DevTeam has updated the current Pwnage tool to version 4.2 to untether iOS 4.2.1 JailBreak. Pwnage Tool lets you create a custom firmware on Mac which can be easily restored on iTunes (latest version). This method is quite simple to understand as compared to the Greenpois0n where you have to first use TinyUmbrella to preserve the BB (Baseband) and then use the software to JailBreak and activate the phone using official SIM. With Pwnage Tool, you can choose the option to activate the phone or not while building a custom firmware.
It is also advantageous for window users because they can use this custom firmware to restore on iTunes (Windows) bu the device needs to be in DFU mode to avoid unknown errors (16XX). However, the custom firmware build can only take place on Mac OS X.
