LG Optimus G coming to India by the end of this month, price not revealed yet

LG may soon launch one of its high-end smartphones in the Indian market. Known as the Optimus G this smartphone, the device was first launched in Korea back in August last year and just recently started arriving in the global markets.

The pricing for the smartphone is not yet been revealed, but The Mobile Indian reports that the LG Optimus G will arrive in the Indian market as early as the end of this month.

The Optimus G runs Android 4.0 ICS and it sports a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz and includes 2GB of RAM.

In addition to this it features a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and has a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera which is capable of 720p video capture. In terms of the connectivity the device features Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC and USB 2.0 along with a 2,100 mAh battery.

LG Optimus G also includes some software tweaks including QSlide which allows one to use two apps simultaneously in split-screen mode, Live Zooming that allows one to zoom while playing a video and QMemo which allows a user to capture screenshot and quick add notes to them.

We are not sure as to when will this smartphone receive the new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. Also LG has a few other high-end smartphones which might soon arrive in the Indian market.
