The Motorola Defy Android Smartphone to Kickass in India

The Motorola Defy is a mid range, rugged-like smartphone which comes with Android 2.1 goodness. The guys at AndroidOS.in are reporting that this interesting device from Motorola will be arriving in the Indian markets starting 24th January.

The Motorola Defy features a 3.7-inch WVGA display with a 480 x 854 resolution, an 800 MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, DLNA, WiFi, A-GPS and 3G connectivity options. It basically has all that you expect from an Android phone, with the added benefit of a Gorilla Glass display.

I personally feel a faster processor and pre-loaded Android 2.2 FroYo, would have been great for the device. As per what we have heard it will come with the MOTOBLUR UI, but I doubt it. It is expected to be priced at Rs. 20,000.
