Razer’s New Chimaera Headset Unveiled Now Shipping

We have been looking at a lot of movements out from Razer lately.  And there’s another great product that was unveiled at the 2011 CES – the Razer Chimaera headset. No matter how incorrect the spelling seems to be, the headset itself makes it up at the end.

The Razer Chimaera is a 5.1 channel surround sound headset which won’t be for the PC but for all the X-Box 360 peeps. The headset comes with a docking station for a battery which charges internally and it also has a ‘flip-out’ microphone which happens to be a noise isolating microphone just so the co-teammates don’t hear the unwanted nagging in the background. The headset comes with an Equalizer system and has audio output jacks to let you connect another set of headphones to it.

But like we see it, we know it won’t be cheap. Priced at $199.99 for the 5.1 channel Chimaera headset, Razer has also brought out an option of 2.1 channel Chimaeras which will cost you $149.99 just if you want to save some bucks.

Razer Chimaera with it’s sleek design and amazing sound quality is something you would want to check out if you’re a gamer and have some money to shell out for the depth of experience.
