OnePlus Smartphone Lineup Received OxygenOS 4.0.1 Update
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users are in for a treat as they’ve gotten their devices upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat last week and are now again receiving another one in terms of the smartphone’s OxygenOS 4.0.1 update. This update is fixing a big deal of bugs and offers some performance and stability improvements.
Some additions include the likes of status bar icon options, updated APN Settings, improved shelf customization, fixed a bug affecting the proximity sensor during calls and increased the device’s overall stability.
This update didn’t come without issues as Google Play’s download issue which can be manually fixed. This issue is know of as stated in OnePlus’ changelog and it states that users should download it through mobile data instead of Wi-Fi in order to have it fixed. If the problem still persists, they have issued a step by step method on how it can be fixed.
In order to do that, OnePlus 3 and 3T device owners should turn off the Battery Saving Mode plan and resetting Google Play app’s preferences. This can be done after uninstalling or force stopping apps such as Truecaller, AVG Andtivirus from your device before proceeding to download something from Google Play.
The OxygenOS 4.0.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat is issued out of the air and if you haven’t received it yet don’t fluster as it will arrive within a couple of days. This update will be issued in batches meaning that users will have it available over a two or three day period. If one wishes to see the full changelog, visit OnePlus’ dedicated forum.
We highly recommend updating your device over a strong Wi-Fi connection and a full battery in order to make sure that nothing will go wrong during the process.
