NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 and 1080 Graphics Available on Gygabite Brix
Gigabyte has done us the favor of including two new Brix systems to its lineup which are powered by an impressive array of hardware all built into an innovative case. It all measures 276 x 384 x 128 mm. Having such a narrow build, they aim to innovate the cooling capacity of its devices by coming up with an innovative air flow system.
They go by the name of GB-GZ1DTi7-1080-OK-GW which hints us that it will sport a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics chip which has 8GB of DDR5 memory. They haven’t stopped there as the unit comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor and a whopping 32GB DDR4 RAM.
As for storage it includes a 240GB M.2 SSD and 1TB HDD which clocks at 7,200 RPM. In charge of power is a custom made 400W PSU. Some other traits of this device are 802.11ac Wi-Fi, GbE LAN, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, USB 3.1/Thunderbolt and separate headphone and microphone jacks.
The other chassis is called GB-GZ1DTi7-1070-NK-GW which has basically the same configuration but what differentiates it from its more powerful counterpart is that it sports a Geforce GTX 1070 G1 graphics card and the RAM is halved at 16GB.
These gaming behemoths are specifically designed to play games at 4K resolution or to make VR headsets available to roll out to their full capacity. LAN parties are also not excluded. Both chassis are specifically designed to improve airflow through the device. We haven’t tested any of them but it is widely thought that the pair of vents opens up when needed as hot air is directed outwards and cooled air does its magic inside the device.
Gigabyte hasn’t mentioned a price or when their devices will be made available but they are sure to revolutionize gaming and VR capabilities.
