Lenovo Miix 510 – What Does It Offer?

Microsoft was the one to show the world that tablets can easily replace laptops with its Surface Pro 4. The US tech giant has been generating large amounts of profits as a result of that. Seeing Surface Pro 4’s success, other tech companies started venturing in the 2-in-1 market. Lenovo is the one who seems to have gotten Microsoft’s recipe for success down the best. The Chinese tech giant took the best features Surface Pro 4 had to offer and implemented them into its own Lenovo Miix 510.

It’s easy to see that Lenovo Miix 510’s design has been heavily inspired by the one used by Surface Pro 4. First off, this can be noticed straight with the device’s 12.2 inch screen. Lenovo didn’t want its device to be considered a copy of Microsoft’s tablet and implement some unique features to it. As a result of that, Lenovo Miix 510 uses some cool hinges which allow the display to tilt up to 170 degrees. These hinges have been taken from Lenovo’s Yoga 900.

The device’s flexibility is complimented by the fact that users can easily attach a magnetic keyboard folio to it. This way, users can type on the tablet at ease without having to struggle to find a good spot and just place it on their lap. The Lenovo Miix 510 keyboard has been carefully designed to run as smooth as possible. The keyboard has a key travel of only 1.5 mm. Additionally, the keyboard is also back lit and this makes it even cooler than it already is. The best thing about Lenovo’s keyboard is that it’s included in the Miix 510 bundle. Unlike Microsoft who charges an extra $130 for its similar keyboard.

In terms of hardware specs, Lenovo’s 2-in-1 tablet is quite impressive. It seems like the Chinese tech giant really wanted to assure customers that its tablet is able to easily replace any laptop. With that being said, let’s take a look under Lenovo Miix 510’s hood and see what we can find. First off, the tablet is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel i5-6200 CPU that’s coupled with 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM. The storage space is quite impressive as well, sporting 256 GB SSD. With only these hardware specs, we can safely say that Lenovo Miix 510 is able to go against any laptop.
