Intel Lexington based Lava XOLO X500 smartphone launched, priced Rs. 8,999
Lava has launched a new smartphone which it calls the XOLO X500 and this device is priced at Rs. 8,999. The device has recently been officially launched in the Indian market.
A key feature of the device is that it is powered by Intel’s new Lexington chip which is clocked at 1.2GHz and it includes Intel’s hyper-threading technology which simulates the presence of extra processor cores. It is the Atom Z2420 processor which the company had unveiled earlier this month at CES.
Intel claims that this new chipset consumes very less battery, it provides smooth performance and it is idea for multi-tasking.
In terms of the features the device is equipped with a 3.5-inch display with a 480×320 pixels resolution, it has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, dual-SIM capabilities and a 1,500 mAh battery.
The Lava XOLO X500 also supports 1080p video playback, it has integrated HSPA+ antenna for 3G connectivity. It also includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. Intel also says that the XOLO X500 can shoot images in burst mode at 6 frames per second using its 5 megapixel rear camera which can also record 1080p videos.
The Intel XOLO X500 comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0 ICS and it is not yet confirmed whether it will receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. The device will soon be available in the Indian market as an entry-level dual-SIM capable Android smartphone.
