Huawei

One great thing about passing into a new year for tech savvy fans is that the CES event takes place in early January. During that period all major tech companies which attend the event unveil and showcase their upcoming gadgets. Right when the event started Huawei came out and surprised everyone with the announcement of Honor 6X. The Chinese manufacturer designed the smartphone with only one purpose in mind, to make an affordable device that’s able to provide users with stable performances. Today we are going to see how Honor 6X compares against OnePlus 3 which is another affordable Chinese device.

Price

We’re going to start with the most important factor, price. Huawei priced the standard model of Honor 6X for the cheap price of $249 while the 4GB of RAM variant comes priced at $299. On the other hand, the other Chinese tech giant priced OnePlus 3 at $430.

Display

While the price is significantly different, we’re going to see that the display department is an entirely different story. Both gadgets ship with a standard sized 5.5 inch display that comes with the same 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The 1080p technology used on both displays is very similar and it’s safe to say that the two devices are equals in this department.

Hardware Performance

OnePlus 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snadragon 820 processor which is paired with the whopping amount of 6GB of RAM and 65GB of internal storage. The device is definitely worthy of the flagship title it holds being able to provide users with impressive performances while the 3,000 mAh battery lasts hours on end. Honor 6X is equipped with Huawei’s own Kirin 655 processor that’s paired with 4GB of RAM in the premium version and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone’s battery lasts for longer time than OnePlus 3’s does, as a courtesy of Huawei’s large 3,340 mAh battery.

Verdict

Surprisingly, both devices come in the same sizes but it’s safe to say that while Honor 6X is able to provide users with stable performances it pales in comparison with OnePlus 3’s hardware parts. While the performance difference might be different, it’s completely understandable considering that Honor 6X is $50 cheaper.
