HP’s webOS Tablets get Detailed, Named Opal and Topaz

HP is all set to make an announcement about webOS on 9th of February where many had already anticipated that the company will announce their webOS mobile operating system powered tablet devices. The tablet devices have never been seen before but now the guys at Engadget got a render of one the tablets from one of their sources and also some interesting information.

The source mentions that HP will announce two tablets, one is a 9-inch device called the Topaz while the other one is called the Opal and is a 7-inch device. As per the render, there seems to be a microUSB port on the bottom, no hardware buttons, front-facing camera and obviously a tablet version of webOS. Also, both the tablets may have a 1.2 GHz processor, and all these details are yet to be confirmed.

A screenshot captured suggests that a LTE version of the Opal will come to Verizon in September 2011 and the same will arrive on AT&T sometime in July 2012. While the Topaz is expected to arrive before the Opal.
