Google Pixel vs Samsung Galaxy S7 – What Should You Choose?

Both Samsung Galaxy S7 and Google Pixel are some really powerful phones that run on Android. They are competing against each other to earn the top place in this industry market. Needless to say, they both offer great features and capabilities, thus making a decision between them much harder. Google Pixel comes together with a 5-inches FHD AMOLED display. The screen to body ratio is of 68.88%, while with the S7 you get a ratio of 72.30% and a 5.1 inches QHD Super AMOLED display. Google Pixel offers a 1920×1080 pixels screen resolution, while with the S7 you get a 2560×1440 one. Both phones sport Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and an oleophobic coating that leaves the device fingerprint-free. Though both devices are awesome, Samsung wins at the resolution offered.

RAM and Processor

Pixel runs on a quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, while the US version of the Galaxy S7 works with a quadcore Snapdragon 820 CPU. Both phones come together with 4 GB RAM.


The American version of the S7 has an internal storage of 32 GB, but you can expand it to maximum 256 GB. Meanwhile, Google Pixel offers you two options: 32 or 128 GB storage, but there is no option of extending it if you desire.


Google Pixel offers a primary camera of 12.3 MP, equipped with Dual LED Flash, while the front camera is 8 MP. At the same time, Galaxy S7 owns a 12 MP back camera with LED Flash and a front one of 5 MP. They offer autofocus, geo-tagging, OIS and HDR recording, but S7 also brings RAW image capture and Panorama mode. You can initiate video calls from either of the phones.
