Acer Unveils 4G-ready Iconia Tab for Verizon

This tablet was hinted by Acer back in November last year and it has finally made its official appearance. Although the specifications for this device are quite different than the ones which Acer mentioned during that time, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 is sure is one tablet to look out for in 2011.

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is coming to Verizon Wireless, it has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, has Acer 4.5 UI, Flash 10.1 support and runs Google’s Android 2.2.

It has a very unique user interface which makes it a great tablet device, which is 4G capable, has a HDMI port with 1080p out and supports Clear.fi media sharing. It was first shown at CES 2011.

The device is heading to Verizon, though the official dates are not yet announced. Even the price is unknown but it is expected to be between $600 and $800.
