Acer Unveils Aspire One E100 Education Netbook, Dual-Boots Windows and Android

Acer has unveiled a new netbook, and this one is called the Aspire One E100 Education. As the name suggests, it is a netbook targeted at universities, schools and colleges. The most exciting feature of the E100 Education is that it can dual-boot Windows 7 and Android, and you can instantly switch to Android with a press of an button.

The netbook has a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and seems very portable. It includes a 250GB HDD, 1 GB of RAM and WiFi b/g/n with Bluetooth 2.1 and multi-format memory card reader. It is powered by an Intel Atom processor and can run for a decent 8 hours.

It also features some free education applications including an application called Classroom Manager which will allow teachers to remotely interact with students. No pricing and availability is announced yet, but you can expect us to report one to you as soon as there is.
