Toshiba launches the first laptop with 4K resolution display
The very first laptop with a 4K resolution was showcased at CES 2014 and it comes from Toshiba. The device has a 15.6-inch display which offers the best resolution commercially available in the world.
The laptop is called the Toshiba Tecra W50 and it is powered by NVIDIA’s K2100M graphics processor along with 2GB of dedicated memory.
The laptop is targeted towards graphics professionals and it comes with apps like AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Not many details about this device have been revealed yet, but we know that it will be powered by Intel’s fourth generation Core processors.
Toshiba has also announced another device called the Satellite P50t which also sports a 15.6-inch 4K resolution display but in this case it is a touchscreen display.
Both the laptops will come pre-loaded with Windows 8.1 and at the moment all we know is that these are expected to arrive in markets sometime in the mid-2014.
