HTC One M9 Flagship to be Thinner and More Powerful Than the M8
HTC has managed to make a great impression with the M8 and now it looks to continue this with the upcoming release of the M9 flagship. The smartphone is said to get released at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the beginning of March,
Countless leaks and rumors have appeared recently online, but we’ve decided to take into account the latest intel on this, as it looks to be the most significant. The HTC One M9 is said to embrace the QHD display that is present on other top-notch devices like the LG G3, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and others.
Thus, the smartphone is said to sport a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution on a 5.2-inch display which will deliver a 564 pixels-per-inch image density. A 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor is said to power the whole shebang, the same kernel that could be on the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 flagship.
3GB of RAM should be more than enough for a nice performance boost. The smartphone will get 64GB and 128GB storage options, which is nice for those who don’t want to mess around with storage cards or cloud accounts. The HTC One M9 could be waterproof and it could get a higher resolution camera and a larger battery.
The smartphone could feature the same brushed metal uni-body design and it could get Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile OS in order to impress the audience. The HTC One M9 is also said to be around 7 mm thin, which will be a nice decrease from the current profile.
Speaking of the build quality, HTC could use some sort of composite material to make the M9 feel even more premium. As a matter of fact, rumors suggest that it won’t be called M9, and we are curious to see what will HTC pick this time.
