When it was first announced at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet was launched with Android 4.4.2 out of the box, but obviously, this isn’t enough for geeky users who want the latest and greatest.

However, the Xperia Blog publication notes that the Android 4.4.4 firmware for the tablet has received certification, which means that it will soon start rolling out, if not already.
The LTE and Wi-Fi versions are both included, so rest assured that your version is also covered.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet sports a 10.1-inch TFT full HD display (1920 x 1200 pixel resolution) with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz along with with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of space. There’s a nice 6000 mAh battery, as well.
Xperia Z2 Android 4.4.4 firmware has been certified for D6502, D6503 variants of the smartphone and the Xperia Z2 Tablet Android 4.4.4 firmware has been certified for SGP521, SGP541 variants.
When your Xperia Z2 smartphone or tablet will become eligible to receive the new Android 4.4.4 OTA update, you will get a system update message in the notification bar. You will just have to tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions.
If the system update notification doesn’t show up, you can perform a manual check under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now.
