Last month we reported that Vodafone would be launching its self-branded Android smartphone in the Indian market and this device has finally arrived. This is the Vodafone Smart VF858 which is the mobile operator’s first self-branded Android smartphone and it is priced at 6,695 INR with online retailer Flipkart.
Originally manufactured by Huawei and known as the Huawei U8160 this smartphone runs Android 2.2 FroYo, ha a 2.8-inch QVGA display and is powered by a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor. The device also includes a 2 megapixel rear camera, 130MB of built-in storage, Wi-Fi, 3G and A-GPS connectivity. The company claims 4 hours of talktime and 250 hours of standby battery life.
