At the most recent Apple event, Jobs unveiled the 4th generation iPod touch along with the new iPod Shuffle and the brilliant new iPod Nano. There were already a lot of speculations about the new 4th generation iPod touch and now that it has been officially revealed it is very much like everyone expected it to be.

The new iPod touch will now offer Retina Display, Dual Cameras, Gyro Axis and it will have a brilliant 40 hour standby battery life. Also, the 4th Generation iPod Touch will be powered by Apple’s A4 processor, which is also included in the Apple iPad and the iPhone 4. It also seems to have a few design changes as the curves look more refined over the previous version, but it is not a fresh design like the one offered with iPhone 4.
The new iPod touch will be able to record 720p HD videos, it also has iMovies, multitasking, FaceTime support and Game Center where you can play with players from around the world. It will come in three variants of 8GB, 32GB and 64GB. It looks like the 8GB will cost an extra $30 over the previous version, they will be priced at $229 (about 15,500 INR), $299 (about 20,000 INR) and $399 (about 26,000 INR) respectively. They are now available for pre-order on Apple’s website.
