Nokia Lumia 1520 BEATS iPhone 6, HTC One Max, Nexus 5 and More in New Benchmark Tests
Apple’s iPhone 6 is brand new, but it seems that it hasn’t performed so well in a recent benchmark test where it has been surpassed by many other smartphones. The number #1 place has been obtained by Nokia Lumia 1520. Let’s have a look at some more details
According to some recent benchmark tests run by Rightware company, Apple’s iPhone 6 hasn’t fared as well as it was expected, not being able to place itself in the first 10.
Instead, the big winner was surprisingly the Nokia Lumia 1520, which has managed to obtain a score of 25346. Compare that to just 21,204 – this is how much the iPhone 6 has manged to score.
The iPhone 5s scored 20,253 points on the benchmark which is just less than a 1,000 point difference between the two. However, do take into account that the benchmark has been updated to state the following:
“We have temporarily removed iOS device results while we investigate a Basemark X defect which negatively impacts iOS results.” So, this could mean that the benchmark tests will be reevaluated. We’ll update the piece once we get to hear more on this.
Still, it’s impressive to see that the Nokia Lumia 1520 scored the highest on these benchmark tests, and that the LG Nexus 5 and the Sony Xperia Z3 have managed to beat Apple’s darling.
The Rightware report specifically focuses on the GPU and not the overall system, but we’ll be curious to see if repeated results will prove the same list.
