NBA 2K18 Demo to Come Out 11 Days Before the Game’s Official Launch
September is just around the corner and this means only one thing for gamers everywhere, NBA 2K18 is coming! The game is scheduled to launch on September 19th and it’s going to be a blast. However, 2K Sports announced that NBA fans won’t have to wait that long until they can test out the game since it will release a demo that’s known as “The Prelude” 11 days before the official launch.
The reason why 2K Sports wants to launch a demo version of the game is so that players can get a chance to get comfortable with it. Furthermore, players will also get an idea of what they can expect and see if NBA 2K18 is worth their money. Although, the most important thing about this demo is that it will give players access to the game’s new mechanics and character customization among other features.
Another cool thing about The Prelude is that players will get to save and export the character they design into the full version of the game once it comes out. This is what happened with last year’s NBA 2K17 demo and we can be sure that history will repeat itself.
MyGM and MyLEAGUE
Even though the biggest change that NBA 2K18 will feature is advanced graphics, the MyGM and MyLEAGUE sections will also see some major improvements. First of all, MyGM will be focused on providing a cooler and more in-depth story mode. On the other hand though, 2K Sports announced that MyLEAGUE has been enhanced to the point that it makes the game much more immersive and realistic. The way that MyLEAGUE is able to do that is by changing the way draft and free agency works.
As it is the case with all NBA 2K games, they are compatible with every platform possible starting with PC and ending with PlayStation 4. However, this is not the case with The Prelude since it will only be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
