Micromax adds the Superfone A84 Elite to its range of entry-level smartphones

After launching a few low-cost entry-level Android smartphones in recent times, local smartphone maker Micromax has launched a new device which is called the Superfone A84 Elite. This new smartphone from Micromax comes pre-loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is officially priced at Rs. 9,999.

The Superfone A84 Elite is a device powered by a 1GHz processor and it sports a 4-inch IPS display with an 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The device also includes a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 0.3 megapixel front facing camera, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity and a 1630 mAh battery. It has expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD card.

This Micromax smartphone will go up against the recently launched Spice Stellar and iBall Andi series of Android based smartphones. This device does have the advantage of a large display compared to many devices currently available in this segment.
