Well, at Gigjets we really love Google’s Android and we are now more excited about it as it has now been successfully ported to the PC. Believe it or not, but you can now be using Android on your PC or your laptop. Guys over at the XDA-Developers Forum have managed to get Android boot up as a system OS and it isn’t just a simple emulator.

As mentioned before it is not an emulator but it will let you boot Android as an operating system for your computer. You can use a CD or an USB to get it running and even though it won’t be the operating system to experience on your PC, getting it is going to be real fun.
There seems to be a slight problem running when you try to connect to the internet however, there are workarounds and it can be done. If you are really interested in getting Android on your PC then I suggest you look up this guide which will help you get it done.
This is a really great mod and it really does prove that we have some really brilliant minds living amongst us who make so many things possible. Also, we have heard that Apple is planning to get the iOS to Mac and even though it is just a rumor many people are already excited about it.
Anyways, I tried doing this on my Acer Netbook, it has been running really neat and I plan to keep for some more time. Also, if you get this done feel free to share your experience and the problems you are facing.
