Windows Phone 7 will get HTC Sense Treatment

Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft’s one desperate shot to make a big entrance in the vast smartphone market, and we all know about the steps Microsoft is taking to make it big. Amongst the five of the Windows Phone 7 launch partners which were announced earlier this week, HTC seems to be the most interesting one as we have seen them making the best out of Android and the same can be expected from Windows Phone 7. Anyways we have seen HTC Sense on earlier Windows Mobile phones however, it was quite a surprise when we heard that it will also makes its way to Windows Phone 7 platform.

Drew Bamford from HTC old Forbes that their first Windows Phone 7 device which will be available this October will be topped up with HTC Sense UI. He also mentioned that HTC Sense for Windows Phone will be much different than what it was on Windows Mobile 6.5 and that it will be heavily integrated into the new platform. He said;

“Microsoft has taken firmer control of the core experience [in Windows Phone 7], but we can still innovate. We won’t be able to replace as much of the core Windows Phone experience, but we will augment it.”

So far, it looks like the Windows Phone 7 UI has been really impressive and intuitive. Although, there need to be many changes made to the platform as a lot of things are missing and Microsoft will have to integrate them in a really short time. I think that Windows Phone 7 may really do a great job, what are your thoughts?

  1. then it really is doomed…as a windows phone user….the last thing I want is to see windows phone look anything like Android….which looks like something a teenager has knocked up in their school ICT lessons.
