NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered XOLO Play T1000 officially launched in India for Rs. 15,999

Soon after the pre-orders, XOLO’s new smartphone which is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor has now been officially launched in the Indian market. The smartphone is called the XOLO Play T1000 and its focus is to provide rich gaming experience.

The XOLO Play sports a 4.7-inch 720p resolution display with a pixel density of 312ppi and it is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor which is paired with a 416MHz 12-core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU along with 1GB of RAM for efficient multitasking. The device also features support for NVIDIA Tegra optimized games through the NVIDIA TegraZone store.

Apart from this the smartphone is equipped with an 8 megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor and supports 1080p HD video recording and also includes a secondary front facing 2 megapixel camera. It has a total of 4GB built-in storage capacity which can be expanded up to an additional 32GB using a microSD card and is equipped with a 2,000 mAh battery which is rated to provide up to 11.2 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 9 hours of talk time on 3G.

This is a single-SIM capable smartphone which connectivity wise supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/aGPS. In terms of the software it will come pre-loaded with Android 4.1.1. Jelly Bean and as of now here is no information in regards to any upcoming updates.

  1. Whats the point in a so-called gaming mobile if the internal memory is just 4GB? It means we can possibly install just 2 HD games and we would run out of space! Does XOLO think the customers are that stupid?
