Samsung has announced a new entry-level Blu-Ray player called the Samsung BD-C550. It is a basic Blu-Ray player which comes with an expandable platform and DLNA compatibility however, it seems to be really low on performance.

The Samsung BD-C550 has a glossy black finish and a large LCD display at the center. It can also render streaming content and you can browse digital media files through a USB drive. Sadly, it lacks on some important features like no built-in WiFi support and quick start options.

The product needs to be much more powerful as many consumers will be disappointed with its specifications. It will be available in the market for AU$229.00.
