Google is rumored to be working on a Facebook rival, codenamed Google Me. Although, CEO Eric Schmidt has not yet confirmed such a project he has been very keen on saying that cloned sites are useless and nobody like them.

There are speculations that the social networking site from Google will be focused on online gaming, as existing developers like Zynga, Playfish and Playdom all have been talking with Google about a few things.

Former Facebook CTO, Adam D’Angelo has also previously confirmed that Google is working on a social networking platform and Kevin Rose, the founder of Digg is the one who called it Google Me, which apparently is just the working name.
