Apple now tests the Droid X Antenna

July 25, 2010 @ JoTTOne Comment

It looks like Apple is really interested in testing antennas of rival smartphones and showing everyone else that iPhone 4 is not the only one which lacks antenna performance. After taking a shot at BlackBerry Bold 9700, Samsung Omnia II and HTC Droid Eris, Apple is now showing us the antenna performance of Motorola’s Droid X.

According to Apple, a strong grip around the phones antenna located behind the lower rear panel will drop the signal from three bars to zero. It is really pathetic how Apple has been testing other phones rather than accepting their flaw and working around it in a much better way. Even though Apple has offered all iPhone 4 users a free case many users are really unhappy with the phones antenna performance while a few are yet to come across this problem.

The Droid X from Motorola and Verizon is a really hot phone at the moment and it has defiantly got a lot of iPhone 4 buyers’ change their minds to go for it. Probably that may be the reason why Apple may have displayed the phone’s antenna performance. However, many people are still not yet convinced.
