Samsung Galaxy Core is a new Android smartphone in the Indian market, priced Rs. 15,690

A few days ago Samsung started taking pre-orders for its Galaxy Core smartphone via its Samsung India e-Store. The company has officially launched this new Android smartphone in the Indian market, it is now available via online retailers and physical retail stores throughout the country for Rs. 15,690.

In terms of the specifications the Samsung Galaxy Core is a dual-SIM capable smartphone which features a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) resolution display and it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It also includes 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage capacity, expandable memory up to 64GB via a microSD card and a 1,800 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Core further features a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a secondary front facing VGA quality camera. It is 3G capable and other connectivity features support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. In terms of the software it is a device which comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

As an introductory offer, Samsung us offering Rs. 5,000 on its Digital Wallet which is valid for 90 days from the day of purchase and it can be redeemed on games available on the Samsung Store. To get this offer one has to SMS ‘MyOffer’ to 56886 to receive a link to the myServices app.

Further, the Korean manufacturer has also partnered with Vodafone India to offer free Internet data for a limited time. Vodafone 2G users will get 1GB of free data each month for a period of two months and the offer is only applicable till September 30. In a partnership with Idea, 2G and 3G users from the operator will receive 500MB of free data each month for a period of two months, this offer is applicable till October 31.
