Fujitsu and Toshiba to make Phones Together

Recently, Toshiba and Fujitsu have now come to an agreement for a merger. They will now be combining their mobile operations and will become the second-largest cell phone maker in Japan, after Sharp.

Both the companies have already merged their HDD operations about a year ago and this is nothing new to Fujitsu as well as Toshiba. It looks like Fujitsu will being doing most of the deal making as it will apparently own 70-80 percent of the new company.

Although, this sounds like a nice deal, I don’t think that these guys may come up with some cool and exciting phones, and I believe that they would be majorly catering the Japanese needs.
