Release Date for Kingdom Hearts 3 Moved to 2015 for PS 4 and Xbox One
Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most awaited games of this year, but according to the latest information, Play Station 4 and Xbox One owners will have to wait even more, as a 2014 launch doesn’t seem possible at this point, Sony officially announced at E3.
Thus, Sony will miss on the highly lucrative 2014 holiday seasont as Kingdom Hearts III game will probably makes its way on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the first quarter of the next year. As a matter of fact, it hasn’t been even included in the list for probable releases this year.
But there’s some good news for Kingdom Hearts fan, as Sony co-director Tai Yasue said that Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix will be released on the PlayStation 3 in early December. He added the following:
“I think it’s really accessible for the younger generation, (but) story-wise, it’s a bit complex. By having 1.5 and 2.5, I think it will be easier to play Kingdom Hearts 3 and understand that story. We wanted the players to experience that in HD and relearn it and re-experience it.”
Yasue also added:
“As a developer myself, you start to forget what’s happened. There are so many (games). In a way, it’s a learning experience for us too.
The original Kingdom Hearts was released almost 12 years ago, and since then it has managed to become loved by millions of users across the world, which explains the huge anticipation for the third iteration of the popular game. Some fans are even actively taking place in shaping up the looks and feels of the game, according to developer Tetsuya Nomura:
“It seems like everyone was happy, so I’m glad about that. However, while we know how far we’ve come from a development point of view, what we showed still has ‘ways to go.”
We are also looking forward to the release of this awesome game, so just in case if the developer changes its mind, we’ll be here to report once that happens. Or when pre-orders go live, at least.
This could be just a placeholder, but on the official pre-order page, the 31 December 2014 date has been listed.
