Nike+ FuelBand Android App is Here, Leaves Users Disappointed

Fitness tracking app Nike+ FuelBand has been much awaited by Android users from all over the world, and it has finally been released on the Google Play Store a few days ago. At the moment, the new Nike+ FuelBand app has bee optimized for the Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, S3, the Nexus 5, HTC One and the Moto X.

However, those who have downloaded the app on their Android devices aren’t pleased with its performance. At the moment, the app has received an overall rating of only 2.8, leaving many users disappointed and unimpressed. Here’s what user Phill Horrocks is saying:

“I have been looking for this app since I ditched my iPhone last year to get a HTC One. I have the first generation Nike Fuelband and I thought this app would work. Nope. What a waste of time. I’ve stopped using the Fuelband now because this doesn’t work and opted to buy a Fitbit instead, which is arguably better anyway. Nike, get your act together or you’ll end up losing more customers”

Christopher Twomey also weighs in with his input:

“What a waste buying and staying with Nike for the past 1.5 years when Fitbit and the other bands have been supporting Android all along (and admittedly with more functionality than either of the Nike Fuelbands). Meanwhile, Nike isn’t even commenting on why they’ve decided to not support their most loyal and patient customers. Shame on them for treating their devoted customers so badly.”

The app has been released for owners of the Nike+ FuelBand which lets you see your progress on your Android smartphone. You can als ave all your information directly to your Nike+ profile online, customize your device display, change the time and update your Daily Goal. By using Nike+ Sessions, you can track NikeFuel and intensity for specific activities and you can enable Move Reminders to stay active.

One of the drawbacks that has been setting so many users on fire is that the app does not support FuelBand 1.0. However, let’s not forget that this is a fresh release, so a future update could fix all of these low votes.
