Nokia XL officially launched in India for Rs 11,489

Nokia has officially launched its XL Android smartphone in the Indian market and this device is a slightly more capable variant of the Nokia X smartphone. The Nokia XL has got an official price tag of Rs 11,489.

In terms of the specifications, the Nokia XL sports a 5-inch WVGA resolution display and it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor which is paired with 768MB of RAM.

The smartphone also includes 4GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

This Android-based smartphone sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front-facing 2 megapixel camera along with a 2,000 mAh battery. In terms of the software this device comes pre-installed with a custom version of Android called Nokia Software X. This UI borrows various elements from Nokia’s Asha line-up as well as Windows Phone OS.

Further all the Google services on this device will be replaced with Microsoft services and even developers will not have access to Google API’s when creating an application for this platform.

The Nokia XL has been officially priced at Rs 11,489, and it is available for purchase though online retailers.
